Job Description Financial Analyst, Manufacturing Cost Analyst
Job Summary:
Serve as the Financial Partner to Senior Leadership Team, providing business insight and sharing responsibility with operational manager for financial results and performance. Responsible for the Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis of the manufacturing operation. Work closely with all departments to analyze and evaluate departmental cost, develop financial processes and procedures, analyze and report financial data and verify accuracy of financial reports.
Responsibilities:
* Partner with the business to effectively analyze, budget and forecast financial results
* Prepare accurate and timely financial reports and statements
* Performs variance analysis and provide explanations of factors affecting operations, makes recommendations to improve manufacturing operations
* Participates in all areas of the budgeting and forecasting process including development of cost, headcount and production
* Perform all cost accounting activities including analysis and reporting
* Develop and implement cost accounting procedures and controls, identify problems with existing procedures and work with other departments to correct
* Prepare, communicate and explain financial reports and results to non:financial audience
* Interface with business leaders and build relationships in support of financial planning and performance measurement including reporting and analysis
* Support cross:functional teams with a focus on business problem solving, lean events and manufacturing analysis support
* Insure all financial reporting deadlines are met
* Reviews and conducts analysis as needed on an ad hoc basis
* Provides backup and support for other finance processes
Requirements:
* Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related filed
* 5+ year experience in Cost Accounting and Financial Analysis
* Proficiency with SAP, or similar ERP system
* Strong ability to analyze and think strategically
* Financial analysis experience in a manufacturing environment preferred
* Thorough understanding of Cost Accounting
* Detail oriented with focus on analytical and quantitative analysis with strong organizational skills
* Superior verbal and written communication skills, must be able to interact cohesively and effectively with all levels of the organization
* Demonstrate excellent customer service skills for supporting internal and externals customers
