Novo Nordisk is embarking on building a new factory, in Clayton, NC. The plant will employ 700 new workers to produce active ingredients for an oral version of a medicine called semaglutide and a range of other diabetes drugs.
Novo Nordisk is currently seeking to attract top talent in the Research Triangle Park area. This once in a life:time career opportunity is ideal for manufacturing professionals who understand not only the operational complexities of manufacturing, but have the desire and drive to help us design and build. Candidates interested in taking this journey will be required to spend time in our API Production facilities (located in Denmark), as well as 3:6 months at a South Carolina location. There you will work with some of the best manufacturing professionals in the industry : learning and taking part in the plant design. Travel will not be a long term requirement but will be expected over the first year.
TITLE: PROJECT MANAGER II, IT INFRASTRUCTURE
PURPOSE:
* Responsible for Work Package owner execution within the DAPI:US IT infrastructure
* Design, communicate and implement IT infrastructure within the API facilities to strategies that meets the Diabetes API US project goals and comply with NN standards and build DAPI US IT organization capable of producing Novo Nordisk specific project deliverables such as specifications and requirements
ACCOUNTABILITIES:

* Policy development
* Participate as member of the Finance, Legal, IT Management Team in setting goals, objectives for the IT infrastructure part of the project
* Follow all safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
* Meet or exceed customer, business, and regulatory requirements in accordance with the Novo Nordisk Way
* Ensure cGMP compliance in IT infrastructure project execution
* Other accountabilities as assigned
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES:
* Education: BA/BS degree in science, engineering or business. MA/MS is preferred
* Experience: Minimum 5 yr. leadership/management/supervisory experience in IT project mgt. in pharmaceutical or other regulated industries
* Technical/Process/Functional Knowledge: Knowledgeable in IT project mgt. systems within pharma industries
* Organization/Planning: Proven expertise in mentoring/development, change management, planning/organizing, managing execution, and revising the work plan for complex problems solved by cross functional teams
