As Maintenance Supervisor, you will supervise the Site Services Maintenance staff and service contractors in the daily maintenance for BASF's Research Triangle Park facilities with approximately xxxx office and scientific employees on a 126 acre site. You will ensure that preventive maintenance and work order requests are carried out safely and efficiently. Your responsibilities will include the supervision of operation, maintenance, repair and revisions of building structure, equipment and utilities as well as assisting scientific staff with design, building and installation of equipment for special projects.
You will be expected to ensure that regulatory and safe practices are adhered to as well as promoting Responsible Care, 5S and other activities that are integral to the safe and efficient operation of the facilities.
Being on:call, emergency response, and working weekends and holidays on a rotational basis are an expected part of this role.
Qualifications : BASF recognizes institutions of Higher Education which are accredited by the Council for Higher Education Accreditation or equivalent
Required:
: At least 5 years demonstrable experience in supervising maintenance staff
: Experience operating and overseeing HVAC and building management systems including programming and troubleshooting
: Demonstrable safety leadership and training
: Experience coordinating construction contractors and engineers to safely and efficiently conduct work at the facilities
: Ability to work out of normal office hours and respond to emergency situations in a timely manner as necessary
: Willing and able to safely lift 50 Ibs
Preferred:
: At least 5 years experience in supervising maintenance staff at a multi:national company facility including an R and D or manufacturing component
: OSHA 40 hour certification
: Experience in Lean, 5S, Six Sigma
: Thorough understanding of Lock Out Tag Out, Confined Space, Elevated Work, Line Breaking, and Safe Work procedures and permitting
