This once in a life:time career opportunity is ideal for manufacturing professionals who understand not only the operational complexities of manufacturing, but have the desire and drive to help us design and build. Candidates interested in taking this journey will be required to spend time in our API Production facilities (located in Denmark), as well as 3:6 months at a South Carolina location. There you will work with some of the best manufacturing professionals in the industry : learning and taking part in the plant design. Travel will not be a long term requirement but will be expected over the first year.
Facilities Engineer I : Black Utilities API
PURPOSE:
The purpose of this position is to contribute to the establishment of all black utilities systems for the DAPI:US facility. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: writing/reviewing specification; design reviews; equipment installation; commissioning and qualifications; SOP development; maintenance development and training; management of cost, quality and schedule within area of responsibility; establishing and maintaining positive working relationship with internal and external engineering team and stakeholders. All activities are aligned with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) program requirements.

* Training of technical team
* Create and maintain system specifications for black utilities.
* Support all design, installation, commissioning, qualification, training activities for black utilities.
* Provide additional technical support to project team as required.
* Adhere to all Quality and environmental regulations within area of responsibility
* Support technical development of Facilities Technicians after handover to LOB.
* Continuous process improvement using cLEAN(R) concepts.
* Maintain and establish standards for procedures and maintenance plans
* All safety and environmental requirements in the performance of duties
KEY SUCCESS FACTORS: EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:
* Education: BS in Mechanical, Electrical or Chemical Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Experience: 2:5+ years engineering experience in a manufacturing facility. Knowledge and experience in the operations, maintenance, and design of cGMP utilities as well as working in a regulated environment (FDA, cGMP, OSHA).
* Knowledgeable in black utilities system to include: chilled water, plant steam, compressed air, vacuum, waste water management.
* Knowledgeable in clean utilities system to include: process water, clean steam, process air, vacuum, cryogenic storage.
* Ability to read/review design drawings (CAD) with a basic understanding of P and ID, HVAC, and Electrical systems.
* Understanding of technical documents such as URS, SAT
